Weekend Retreat Sep 3-6, 2026 – Overflow Retreat

“You anoint my head with oil; my cup overflows.” – Psalm 23:5

There are moments in life when the Lord invites us to step away from the noise, the busyness, and the demands of everyday life and simply come and be filled again.

The Overflow Retreat is an invitation to enter a sacred space of rest, worship, prophetic activation, and deep encounters with God’s presence. Just as David declared in Psalm 23:5, the Lord does not merely fill our cups — He fills them until they overflow.

“You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies.
You anoint my head with oil;
my cup overflows.”
— Psalm 23:5

Throughout scripture, oil represents the anointing of the Holy Spirit, and overflowing represents abundance, generosity, and the life of God pouring through us to others.

This retreat is designed to help you:

  • Receive fresh anointing
  • Rest in God’s presence
  • Hear His voice more clearly
  • Strengthen your prophetic gifts
  • Learn to minister from overflow

Jesus said:

“Whoever believes in me, as the Scripture has said,
rivers of living water will flow from within them.”
— John 7:38

During this retreat we will take time to soak in worship, practice listening prayer, participate in prophetic activations, and minister to one another in safe and Spirit-led ways. Through teaching, workshops, and ministry times, participants will be encouraged to experience both deep personal renewal and joyful prophetic expression.

There will be opportunities to explore creative expressions of worship such as prophetic painting, flagging, and worship in the heavenly realms, along with practical activations like prophetic games, discernment exercises, and a prophetic gift exchange.

We will also slow down together through practices such as Lectio Divina allowing the Word of God to fill us deeply so that our lives begin to overflow with His presence.

“Taste and see that the Lord is good.”
— Psalm 34:8

Each evening we will gather for extended worship and soaking, creating space for the Holy Spirit to move gently and powerfully among us. Saturday night will culminate with a special time of impartation and anointing, where we pray for fresh oil and renewed calling over every participant.

But overflow is not just about receiving.

It is about learning to pour out what God has given us.

“Freely you have received; freely give.”
— Matthew 10:8

By the end of the weekend, our prayer is that every person leaves not just refreshed, but carrying a renewed capacity to love, hear God, and minister to others from a place of fullness.

We believe the Lord is inviting His people into a season of overflowing presence, overflowing joy, and overflowing love.

Come and sit at His table.

Come and be filled.

And let your cup overflow.

S2 Ep10 – Creating Safety for the Spiritually Sensitive, How to Help Sensitive Hearts Feel Seen, Heard, and Understood.

In this episode, Tricia and Murray explore how to create environments where spiritually sensitive people feel safe enough to open their hearts. Many spiritually sensitive individuals experience life deeply—emotionally, relationally, and spiritually. When they sense criticism, pressure, or misunderstanding, they may withdraw rather than share what is really going on inside.

So how do we draw them out?

Together, Tricia and Murray discuss practical ways spouses, parents, friends, and leaders can cultivate safety, patience, and empathy in their relationships. Drawing from principles of empathetic communication, they talk about how curiosity, reflective listening, validation, and respectful dialogue can help sensitive hearts feel seen, heard, and understood.

Throughout the conversation, Murray shares insights and stories about listening for heart intention, while Tricia offers practical examples of how to communicate in ways that invite openness rather than shut it down.

In this episode you’ll learn how to:

  • Lead with curiosity instead of correction
  • Reflect back what someone is sharing so they feel truly heard
  • Validate a person’s experience without judging it
  • Ask permission before offering advice
  • Honor spiritual sensitivity as a gift rather than a weakness

When people feel understood and respected, trust grows—and safety follows.

Join Tricia and Murray as they unpack how creating safe relational spaces can draw out the depth, wisdom, and beauty within spiritually sensitive people.

Because safety grows where people feel heard, respected, and unhurried. 🎙️

Who’s Prophetic?

The answer is everyone. When the Holy Spirit was poured out in Acts 2, Peter explains to us that the fruit of the outpouring would be that we could all now hear God’s voice. For in essence that is what prophecy is, to listen to God’s voice and share what we hear. But to develop our God given abilities to hear, see, sense, feel, etc. what the Lord would like to share with us takes practice, training, and mentoring.

In Samuel’s Mantle we will help you develop your spiritual gifts to feel what is on the Lord’s heart, to see what the Father is doing, and to hear His voice. The old saying is, “teachers long to teach, pastors long to mentor, evangelists long to win souls, and prophetic people long to hear the voice of the Lord”. If the desire to hear the Lord is in your heart, Samuel’s Mantle would be a great place for you.

Why Samuel’s Mantle?

Murray’s explanation: I was praying about what to do next after I had finished my last assignment when God very clearly spoke into my spirit: “There is coming a new wind of my Spirit into the Fraser Valley and the language of this wind will be signs and wonders and dreams and vision (as stated by Acts 2). If my people receive my language in this coming season then they will be able to hear what I am telling them to do. However if they do not know how I speak and value how I speak this wind can blow right by them and they will not even know I am moving.”

The Lord then gave me a picture of a sailboat with its sail up surging forward in the sea as the wind drove it onward, and then a picture of a sailboat with its sail down not moving at all… even though the wind was blowing just as hard. The Lord then spoke again, “Build me a place where I can teach my people in this Valley to hear my voice and understand my ways. Prepare my people to understand my voice and my ways so that they can ride the wind of my Spirit.” Thus Samuel’s Mantle was born.

Is this your heart cry – to see people raised up that can hear the Lord’s voice, walk in his presence, and give it a way? If it is, consider partnering with us. Through classes, conferences, retreats, Internet training, and small groups meeting across the globe we are seeing more and more people awaken to the voice of God.

Building God’s Prophetic Church

The curriculum of Samuel’s Mantle is meant to build from one level of knowledge to the next. Over the course of the year we will discover how to: picture and see, sense and feel, speak what we hear from the Lord (prophecy), develop an understanding of God’s Father heart, practice in small groups, gain an understanding of why the Bible is full of symbolic language, and uncover the belief systems that block us from being able to receive from the Father. While learning all of this, we are building a listening, worshipful, and fun community environment along the way.
