Symbol Machine: Numbers, Actions, Objects, Colours, Names, etc.
We now begin to take a more specific look in scripture to the principles of how symbolic language is applied: Thing used as a symbol, thing symbolized, and the common characteristics, i.e. “Herod that fox” the common characteristic being “slyness.” We look through scripture at how this principle holds true throughout the bible with numbers, actions, colors, objects, etc. As well we specifically check the bible to see if it is a trustworthy source. For example can we trust that the meaning of a number in Genesis is the same all the way through until Revelation? And the answer is yes.
